Pomco Services Ltd are specialists in pipeline pressure and hydrostatic testing. We have experience carrying out pressure tests on PE pipes up to 1200 OD, CLMS pipes up to 2000 NB, DI and PVC pipes of various sizes. We conduct all of our testing to Watercare standards which includes, but is not limited to, the following tests:

• Hydrostatic pressure testing as per ATSM F2164-13 for PE pipe greater than DN 200 and / or lengths greater than 250m

• Pressure rebound testing for PE pipelines up to DN 200 (Performed for pipelines less than 250m in length)

• Constant pressure (make-up water) testing for CLMS, DI and PVC pipelines.

• Visual pressure testing of small pressure pipelines

• Low pressure air testing on non-pressure pipelines

Pressure testing a pipeline comes with its own risks and we ensure that we are testing in accordance with industry best practice and only using suitably rated fittings.

We provide full QA for our testing which includes a pressure test certificate, excel data log, and site notes taken during testing.

Pomco has extensive experience in both EF and butt welding. We have the capability to carry out EF welding on PE pipe from 630 OD down to 25 OD, and butt welding from 630 OD down to 90 OD.

We stand by the quality of our welding and provide QA documentation to match which can include welder qualification, weld QA data, weld unit calibration certificates and destructive test weld results.

Pomco Services Ltd both work on and specialise in pipeline construction and are also able to offer an extensive range of utility installation including but not limited to; communication and power ducting. We utilise the same experienced crews and employees for all of our installations.

Our team has a strong culture of working safely and protecting all above and below ground assets. We have the ability to carry out service location for all works that we do thorough site inspections, scanning, potholing and thinking ahead. We pull from our previous local knowledge of areas around Auckland to think about what could be in the ground.

Pomco Services understands the importance of supplying the correct materials at the right time. We can supply and install on projects of all sizes from a single meter to a full subdivision. We understand the need to provide quality materials that meet Watercare material supply or project requirements.

We are experienced in disinfecting and commissioning both transmission and network water pipelines.

Our team follow the Watercare code of practice for disinfection of water systems. We work with independent accredited labs, sampling technicians and water carriers.

We have experience with both chlorinating pipelines and dechlorinating the water for disposal prior to a cut-over / connection date.

Pomco Services has been involved with an array of projects that have required temporary diversions for pipework to allow new services to be installed.

We treat every temporary pipeline as if it were permanent. This means that we follow all the same work practices regardless of the pipeline. We can assist with project planning and can provide advice around temporary pipework and help you find the best way to move your project forward.

Our team has experience in watermain connections and cut ins.

We have experience in all aspects of the connection process ranging from watermain shut down planning and sequencing, connection design, cut-in and installation and re-livening of the watermain.

Pomco understand the high importance of public health and safety and ensure that all connections adhere to the highest quality and hygiene standards.

Past projects have involved CLMS, PE, PVC, AC and DI cut-ins on sizes up to 375NB.

Pomco works with developers, council organisations and other contractors to provide the best installation experience possible. We take pride in our work and stand by the quality of work we produce. We put the same care into all of the projects we work on regardless of size, scope or complexity.

Pomco has the capability to install pipework on any sized job. We offer the full package and get the job done in required timeframes without compromising on quality. We install pipelines all over Auckland, including on infrastructure sites, new subdivisions, private developments, urban replacement environments, and particularly difficult or congested areas like in Auckland City Central.

We also can install fire mains from the public watermain to the building or pumproom. This includes installation and testing of backflow prevention units (BFPUs), strainers and valves in both above and below ground configurations.
